You will have to use the IP address that we have supplied you with, to publish your website to our servers until the InterNic has completed the registration or transfer of your domain name to the IP address on our server. Once the InterNic process is completed and your domain name has propagated throughout the Internet, you will then be able to use your domain name instead of the IP address to publish your website, access your website using an Internet browser and have access to your email account along with all the features of your account.

IMPORTANT NOTE: All filenames are case sensitive. This means that default.htm (the correct filename) is not the same file as DEFAULT.HTM. In order to avoid problems or conflicts with FrontPage, we suggest that you use all lower case file names.

Very Important: If you use FrontPage to publish your website to our server, then DO NOT USE an FTP or Telnet program to Add, Edit or Delete files in the "www" directory that are "directly" related to your FrontPage website. This is where your FrontPage extensions are kept. You will corrupt the FrontPage extensions.
Here are the procedures to publish your website to our servers.

1) Make sure your homepage is called "default.htm". This will overwrite the existing "default.htm" when you publish your FrontPage website to our FrontPage server. After you have finished your edits and want to publish your WebSite to our server, start the publishing process by proceeding to Step #2.

2) Load your website into FrontPage Explorer.

3) Connect to the Internet. Make sure you have a proper connection.

4) In FrontPage Explorer under "File", select "Publish FrontPage Web" The "Publish" dialog box will open.

5) Click on "More Webs".

6) In the "Publish FrontPage Web" dialog box where it says "Please specify the location to which you want to publish your FrontPage web" type in: your "IP Address" or your "yourdomainname.com" without the quotes. Again use your IP Address until the InterNic has linked the new IP to your Domain name (this information is at the top of this page).

7) You will be prompted to insert your name and password. This input is case sensitive.

Username: (information at the top of this page)
Password: (information at the top of this page)

8) Your WebSite will then be uploaded to our server from your computer. This may take a while - be patient. The status of the publishing progression will be displayed in the bottom left side of "FrontPage Explorer". This completes the publishing process. If you have any problems with this publishing sequence, please refer to your Frontpage manual or the online help feature. If all else fails, let us know what the problems are and we will do our best to help you out.

VERY IMPORTANT: Never use FTP or Telnet to delete files from your rootweb or subweb. This will corrupt your FrontPage extensions. FrontPage has to be aware of all changes. Please use the following information in order to delete orphan or unwanted files from the server.

1) Connect to the Internet.

2) Open FrontPage Explorer.

3) Under "File", select "Open FrontPage Web".

4) Click on "More Webs".

5) You are now in the "Open FrontPage Web" dialog box.

6) In the "Select a Web server or disk location" enter your "IP Address" or "yourdomainname.com". Again, use your IP Address until the InterNic has linked the new IP to your Domain name. Then click on "List Webs".

7) In the "FrontPage Webs found at location" select "<Root Web>" or the name of your subweb.

8) Enter your username and password; this will then load your website from our server into the FrontPage Explorer. You can now delete any file or folder. After you are finished, exit the FrontPage Explorer program.

This is the safest way of deleting unwanted files without the possibility of corrupting your FrontPage extensions.
